ABOUT US

  • Cape May County Special Services School District educates and empowers students with special needs and significant disabilities to reach their highest potential.

  • We offer a continuum of services, which enables us to address students’ ever-changing needs right within our school and also serve students of varying abilities and ages.

  • Our pre-vocational programs, such as our on-campus Back Porch Cafe and Woodshop, as well as our community-based instruction in partnership with area businesses, help students gain important career and life skills in preparation for becoming contributing members of society.

  • Our students have access to an entire campus, as opposed to one classroom within a school. Students are free to be themselves as they accept and work through challenges that lead to social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.

  • Unmatched resources, specialized facilities and highly qualified staff - who have a calling to work with special needs students - help students reach new developmental and educational milestones.

  • Staff work together, finding solutions to meet students’ individual needs; colleagues benefit from being part of a large team, bouncing ideas off of one another to ensure they are evolving and following the absolute best practices.

  • We are customer service-oriented; if we don’t have a program to meet a student’s specific needs, we will develop it and put all of our expertise behind it to ensure the student and his/her family thrives and our partner public school districts have a reliable partner in educating their students. We do the same for our itinerant services, and have several new services beginning in the 2019-20 academic year, including psychiatric nurse case management through Marcroft.

  • We are accountable, following all of the rules and regulations implemented by the state, documenting student progress through regular assessments and reporting back to public school districts.

  • We are the best value because we are the best at what we do for the most reasonable costs to districts – and taxpayers.
